Voice Swallow Medicine is a private speech pathology practice based in Sydney, Australia. We offer telehealth and clinical supervision services worldwide. Our practice offers state-of-the-art voice, swallow and upper airway assessment and a range of evidence-based speech pathology treatments to address your concerns.

We work closely with Ear Nose & Throat surgeons, Respiratory Physicians, Physiotherapists, Gastroenterologists, Oncologists, General Practitioners and other specialists across Australia, to ensure a multidisciplinary focus to the care we provide.

Chronic Cough

Persistent cough of more than 8 weeks’ duration
Laryngectomy

Management of voice, swallow and pulmonary /lung health following surgical removal of the larynx/voice box for treatment of advanced larynx cancer
Swallowing (Dysphagia)

Problem, discomfort and/or fear chewing or swallowing food, fluids and/or oral medications
Breathing Pattern Disorder/Dysfunctional Breathing

Dysfunctional or maladaptive breathing patterns causing breathlessness, air hunger, dizziness and sensorimotor dysregulation
Vocal Cord Dysfunction / Irritable Larynx / Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction

Sudden onset throat tightness or shortness of breath. Abnormal throat sensations e.g. throat irritation, itch, pain, foreign body sensation

We are also dedicated to developing clinical education programs to Speech Pathologists throughout Australia, partnering with Speech Pathology Australia, Voice Care Australia, the Dr Liang Voice Program and the Laryngology Society of Australasia, to design and execute a range of specialised education programs for clinician training. We provide clinical supervision and mentoring to practicing clinicians.
